The creators of the WoW Glider, MDY Industries, are suing Blizzard for their right of distributing the software. The Glider is a software that allows you to run WOW on autopilot which does not require hacks. Thou it helps players to save time on leveling, some consider it cheating. But if it doesn’t require hacks then is it?
Blizzard believe that they violated the copyright act and the terms of service. On the other hand, MDY Industries wanted legal rights to distribute THEIR software. They suggest that Blizzard has strong-arm them into stopping the distribution of the software which is the primary reason for the lawsuit.
From the makers of SmashMyiPod.com comes a whole new website SmashMyPS3.com. The day the PS3 came out they smashed it for their amusement and PS3 haters satisfaction.
Here is what they have to say:“We decided to take the whole smashing thing a little further, and destroy things right when they come out, in front of 100s of fanboys who would be quite upset to see their beloved game console smashed. I got nothing against Sony making money. This project only exists for the sole purpose of providing satisfaction to people who hate the PlayStation 3, or just like seeing the reaction of the people who just spend a day in line to get their hands on one of these consoles. Entertainment, nothing more!”
Did I say comparable graphics? Sorry, after I actually saw the PS3 and the game reviews, I changed my mind on the PS3. It is worst than I thougth it was going to be. The line up games are receiving a 1.5 and 2 out of 5 on G4 Tech Tv game reviews. As Adam Sessler said after seeing the games, ” What The F*** Am I Looking At.” So there you have it, it seems like the PS3 is not as they promised it would be.
Some wrote that the Wii will look a lot better with a component cable rather than the composite cable included in the Wii. For those who have an HDTV, about 19 million house holds, the price of the Wii will go up by $30. Thanks…… not. Joystiq reader Shawn wrote, “I’m really disappointed that the Wii doesn’t come with component cables by default. Who the hell wants to use composite? Even on a standard def TV, component is a lot better, but obviously everyone with an HDTV will have to spend an extra $30 …”
Gears of War is the biggest, most important and most quality title you will find on the Xbox 360. In the game, Marcus Fenix is leading a team into war against the Locust Horde- a race of pasty subterranean nasties who crawled out of the ground to destroy mankind. Marcus has varies objectives to push back the Locust Horde. Gears of War created a whole new genre in video games. Gears of War requires a lot of covering which makes it a cover shooter. You take cover on a wall or behind an obejct to get more protection from enemies, especially when they can kill you in a few shots or if you are facing many enemies or just playing in higher difficulty. All that requires for Marcus to cover is a simple tap of a button. While covering you can choose to do some actions like rolling or over shoulders aim.
Another great feature is the chainsaw attached to your riffle. You will use it to kill enemies way too close and for a finishing move in a multiplayer game. Both the multi-player and the single-player are good. For single-player, there is plenty of variety and you wont be doing one thing for too long. You could be attacking a room full of hordes and the next moment you might be defending the room. Another great feuture is the co-op play. It is a little different than single-player. For example, in the early game, you are asked to split. One of you can cover the other or you can take care of 2 things at once. You can also revive you partner which give you the choice to kill the enemy first or revive him ad finish them faster. The milti-player mode requires skill , strenght, and strategy with you team in order to win. Unlike many other games, if you are 2v1, then the you will win most of the time. With the beautiful graphics and intensive game play, you can’t resist it.
With thePS3 shortages and the overprice, some say the buying a PS3 at launch “is not worth it”. The PS3 was reviewed by CNN’s resident gamer Chris Morris. He states,” it just isn’t worth it yet.” Some reasons for this is the price, the lineup, and it does not live up to its potential without a 1080p-capable TV screen. It is recommended that you wait for a $100 – $200 drop so it reaches a reasonable price but it wont happen anytime soon. Think about it, you pay more and u get less. The PS3 will have comparable graphics to the 360 due the PS3 feature reductions. Unless there is anyone to prove me wrong, I stand with the 360.
Nyko announced that they shipped over 500,000 Intercooler 360s so far. The Intercooler system will lengthen the live of your console with airflow reducing the internal temperature. It helps the lifetime of the hardware reducing the chance of being damaged by intense temperatures. The intercoolers price is only 20$ which is very affordable. There is a rumor going around that the intercooler is causing power leakage damaging the 360 consoles and causing failure. However, there are less than 1% of defective units and that alone could be the reason for these failures. In response to this, Nyko vows: “For those consumers who feel they have received a defective product, Nyko willreplace both the damaged Intercooler 360 and Xbox 360 console upon first hand verification that the Intercooler 360 caused the system to fail.”
